WALTZ WITH BASHIR


BLUE HILL – Peninsula Peace & Justice will present WALTZ WITH BASHIR  
on Friday August 28th. The animated documentary is directed by  
Israeli filmmaker Ari Folman, and reflects on his experience as a  
soldier in the Lebanon war of 1982. Winner of numerous awards, Waltz  
with Bashir is described in a New York Times review  as “a memoir, a  
history lesson, a combat picture, a piece of investigative  
journalism, and an altogether amazing film.”


The film will be shown at 7:00 p.m. at Blue Hill Library. It is the  
first in the Fall Film Series of Peninsula Peace & Justice. Upcoming  
presentations are: Superpower, on September 18, After Stonewall, on  
October 16, and Hidden in Plain Sight, on November 20. All events are
