online, which includes ongoing activities, support and workshops.
Below, you will find some activities to get you started. Please do not

Services is pleased to announce the start of an online support group for
adoptive parents in the state of Maine. This is a free service and is
available to all child welfare, private and international adoptive
families. The program will begin January 2010 and you may register
immediately by calling Shelly Anderson, 207-974-1510. This support
group is comprised of two parts. The first part is a Forum Discussion
that is available 24/7. These discussions are structured into topic
areas that you can go back and forth between. The second part will be a
chat room offered at a specific time. The chat room allows us to have
real time conversations about topics discussed earlier or start
additional topics that arise.

Library now offers a free parent/child playgroup on Mondays /and
/Wednesdays from 9 - 10 a.m. This program is for moms with children ages
newborn-3; siblings up to age 5 are welcome. This is a great opportunity
for your toddlers to interact with other children, participate in games,
crafts, and music. It gives you a chance to visit with other moms and
benefit from the camaraderie of a shared mission - raising happy,
