Please pass along to others in your group or area. Thanks.
When we make war, we destroy not only the enemy, we destroy our Earth as
well.
Join us for "Scarred Lands & Wounded Lives -The Environmental Footprint of
War," a film by Alice and Lincoln Day. This film shows how war and
preparations for war further compromise the environmental health of a planet
already under stress from massive population increases, unsustainable
demands on natural resources, and ruinous environmental practices. The
hour-long film will begin at 7:00 p.m. at NRCM's office at 3 Wade Street in
Augusta (directions can be found at www.nrcm.org/directions.asp). Alice and
Lincoln Day, the filmmakers, will be here to introduce the movie and have a
brief discussion of the film after it is shown. We are pleased that Peace
Action Maine and Resources for Organizing and Social Change are co-sponsors
of this event. Please RSVP at www.nrcm.org/attendanevent.asp.
