Hunger Strike at Maine State Prison!

Support Rally - Sat. May 16th

Bring Signs and as many people as you can.
 
We will be meeting with supporters across from the prison entrance at 807 Cushing  Rd. in Warren Maine.  M-PAC members will be present to assist with parking.

On May 3rd ten men in the Special Management Unit of Maine State Prison began a hunger strike.
 
The men are protesting the harsh regime of long term solitary confinement and demanding the use of radios to ease the psychological burden of 23 hour a day isolation.

Join us in demanding the humane treatment of prisoners and an end to long term isolation and other forms of torture in Maine prisons.

RADIO FREE WARREN.  We have spent millions for years to bring the voice of Freedom and Democracy to oppressed countries, yet deny it to our own citizens.  Support the rights of prisoners to have radio-wave contact with the outside world.  

Freedom of Information is a Right which must not be denied, regardless of circumstances!
