Devinne Mack on the "Friends of the World Food Program"
Thursday, May 21, 7-9 pm, Ellsworth City Hall Auditorium

Devinne Mack, a Bar Harbor resident studying at American University in
Washington DC, will present a program this evening at the Hancock
County Democratic Committee meeting.

Devinne will discuss her recent internship with the Friends of the
World Food Program (http://www.friendsofwfp.org), a U.S.-based,
nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that focuses on building support
in the United States for the United Nations World Food Program (WFP)
and other hunger relief operations.

Her talk will focus on The Roadmap to End Global Hunger, a
comprehensive plan for how the United States can play an active role
in the campaign to end global hunger. Developed by the Public Policy
Department at the Friends of the World Food Program (the fundraising,
advocacy, and awareness-raising arm of the United Nations Food
Program), the Roadmap is supported by a coalition of a numerous well-
known non-profit organizations.

The program will begin at about 8 pm, following the regular business
meeting. As always, the public is welcome to the meeting and
presentation.
