There is an excerpt of the video referred to here on Brave New Films's
home page (http://www.bravenewfoundation.org/) in which the partner of a
gay soldier talks about the secrecy partners of active-duty
service-people have to maintain to avoid compromising the status and
safety of their partners.

There are many issues that we work on at Brave New Foundation, but none
are closer to my heart than the Human Rights issues of the LGBT
movement. Earlier this year we released an episode of our
Iraq/Afghanistan veterans series In Their Boots
that dealt head-on with discrimination.
We told the stories of the gay partners of the men and women who are in
the line of fire serving our country and the shame/fear/secrecy they
must endure because of our country's Don't Ask Don't Tell policy.
Watch the video at

When I learned there would be a gathering in Washington DC on October
10th and 11th in order to demand civil rights for the millions of men
and women in this country who are gay, I knew that we had to do
something to get more people there to speak out and demand equality.
Please join us in Washington at the National Equality March
(http://equalityacrossamerica.org/blog/?page_id=19)
so that you or your sons and daughters can live in a country that allows
us all to serve in the military, get married and grow up with a sense of
pride.
See you there,
Jim Miller
