Martin Luther King Jr. commemoration



Peninsula Peace and Justice invites the community to a celebration  
and commemoration of the life of Martin Luther King, Jr. on Sunday,  
January 17.

A candlelight vigil will take place in front of Blue Hill Town Hall  
from 4:30 – 5:00pm, followed by a gathering at the Blue Hill Library  
from 5:00 to 6:30pm., to include film showings of selected speeches  
of Dr. King. Light refreshments will be served.

People who had personal experiences meeting or seeing Martin Luther  
King are particularly encouraged to attend and share your memories.   
Young people are also encouraged to attend to learn about the life of  
Dr. King.

There will be no charge for this public event.  Voluntary  
contributions may be made to the Martin Luther King Memorial Fund.
