EVERYBODY EATS Free Community Meal -- NEWS
Each Monday, 3-6:30
St. Dunstan's Church, 134 State St., Ellsworth (across from Moore School)
Hello Volunteers,
We served another excellent meal yesterday with fair attendance for a holiday. Chicken noodle soup and corn chowder were on the menu, along with corn bread and a mixed fruit upside down cake. Delicious! Many thanks to the fine cooks in the kitchen- Craig and Sundy, along with Ron and Nancy. Of course, the show couldn't go on without the serving/cleaning-up late shift, which included Craig, Sundy, Margaret, Martha, and Gertrude Champe. We are very blessed to have such fine and dedicated volunteers, who truly love what they are doing and have a good time doing it.
Some changes have already occurred to the July schedule and we need one additional volunteer for the late shift on July 12, 19 and 26. If anyone can help us out, please let me know.
I am also looking for August volunteers, which is 5 Mondays. Please send me an email to sign up. sagegirlmsw at aol.com
We are planning to sell individual homemade baked goods at the Flash In the Pans concert on Sept. 6, so if you like to bake, we would love to have your goodies to sell. All items will sell for $1.00, so a 3" square bar cookie, or 4-5 cookies, wrapped in a baggie would be perfect.
We are looking for a new volunteer coordinator to replace me. I have been doing this since the inception of Everybody Eats and would like to give someone else a chance to be so involved. Please contact me if you think you might be interested.
Hoping to hear from you soon.
Marian
