We the Corporations?

One recent poll found that 80% of Americans from across the
political spectrum believe the Supreme Court decision on Citizens
United v. the Federal Elections Commission giving corporations the
right to spend unlimited amounts of money on political campaigns was
wrong. Find out what happened and why, and what you can do about it,
at the Blue Hill Public Library on Friday, March 19, at 7 pm. Lynne
Williams, a local lawyer and member of the National Lawyers Guild,
will talk about the case and its implications. Bonnie Preston, of
the Alliance for Democracy, will summarize the proposals that have
been made to deal with the consequences of the decision. There will
be plenty of time for questions and discussion.
The program is sponsored by the Alliance for Democracy and is open
to all who are interested in this important issue. There will be
refreshments.
	For further information, call 374-3636.
