> BLUE HILL–The documentary film Gasland will be shown on Friday, April 29, at 7 p.m. at the Blue Hill Public Library. When filmmaker Josh Fox was asked to lease his land to natural gas developers, Fox began an investigation of the safety of the process called hydraulic fracturing, also known as fracking. His film is described as “part verite travelogue, part expose, part mystery, part bluegrass banjo meltdown, part showdown.” Peninsula Peace & Justice is sponsoring the film. All welcome.
