glbtqi-friendly businesses and organizations throughout the state.

The leadership of the Egyptian revolution was primarily young people.
They are our future. Support them. That's the message from Hardy
Girls Healthy Women of Waterville is preparing for Girls Rock!
weekend in April, focusing on how to give more attention to girls and
their empowerment. They are always looking for more powerful girls,
especially those from ages 12 to 19, to recognize and award during
that and future weekends. For more about HGHW and the Girls Rock!
weekend, contact Jackie Dupont, 861-8131 or jackie at hghw.org.

It's time for those on the left and those on the right to find more
common ground. "Reasoning with the Right: Finding Common Ground" is a
presentation by Steve Musica that is available for any local group
that wants one. Steve can travel to talk, seriously and satirically,
about how to connect, rather than polarize, people with seemingly
diverse views on topics like taxes, corporate control, the
environment, and governmental regulations. He's flexible in time and
location, with gas money appreciated but no other cost required. For
more details, contact Steve in Richmond at 737-2928 or
swaynemusica at gmail.com.

In some respects, not much has changed in 20 years. That's true from
the perspective of the Aegis Plowshares, five people who were
arrested 20 years ago this month for symbolically turning missiles
and weapons into plowshares. Sadly, these weapons are still being
made, and the military budget continues to climb. So, there will be a
reunion of those of the five who can come back to Maine with Maine
supporters on Friday, April 1 from 3-5 PM, with a vigil at the maker
of those Aegis destroyers, Bath Iron Works, and a potluck and
celebration of continued resistance to follow at about 5:30. The
vigil will take place in front of the BIW administration building on
Washington Street, with a potluck at the Addams-Melman House, 212
Centre St., Bath. Call Maureen at 763-4062.
