Notices:

Over twenty caravans to Cuba have been sponsored nationally by
Pastors for Peace, with help from Let Cuba Live and people in Maine.
Another is planned for this July, with people collecting various
items to send on the caravan. People are encouraged to apply to join
the caravan as it travels thru the US, crosses the border into
Mexico, and makes its way to Cuba. Donations are also needed. Past
caravans have brought medical supplies and helpful technology to
Cubans. This year's caravan will go throughout the country during the
first half of July, then several days at the border and in Mexico,
then 8 days in Cuba, then back home at the beginning of August. For
more info on the Caravan: Judy or Peter Robbins, 326-4405 or
jprobbins at myfairpoint.net.

From the Maine Peace, Justice, and Environmental Network: MPJEN.org
is an online cooperative website hub offering FREE interactive tools:
an online petition center, actions center, calendar, message center,
hundreds of resources and more to enhance the coordination and
communication of the actions of many Maine environmental, peace and
justice groups. We invite your group to participate in this
statewide network website, MPJEN.org. Founded in 2007, already 43
Maine organizations participate in the network website, part of a
national initiative, the Peace Justice and Environment Project. More
than 1500 local peace, justice and environmental organizations in 40
statewide peace, justice & environmental networks serving 50 states,
use the shared programming of PJEP.org, created by activists for
activists. Contact: Laurel Lambert Schmidt, laurel at pjep.org or
773-991-8751.

The Maine Breast Cancer Coalition seeks donations for its Support
Service Fund, which helps people with breast cancer to get the health
care they need. Altho the special license plate fund provides some
funding, it doesn't cover all those who need it. Benefit events are
also welcome. To donate to the fund and for more information about
the coalition, contact Chris Haiss, 938-4018 or czh1 at roadrunner.com.
