"Enlightenment Guaranteed" is a German comedy directed by Doris Dorrie about two brothers, Gustav, a single Feng Shui consultant, and Uwe, a salesman whose wife and children have just left him. After his brother's marital breakup, Gustav reluctantly
agrees to take Uwe with him on his trip to a Zen monastery in Japan. Their first night in Tokyo is touching, funny, and a disaster. They finally make it to the monastery where they attempt to settle into the rigorous and more tranquil routine. The
film provides insights into Buddhist philosophy and practice, modern-day Japan, and the self-realization of two very different brother.   1 hr. 48 min. - Unrated
