> Dear Friends,
>
> I’m writing to ask you to take action on what could be the most significant push for solar energy in Maine.
>
> This morning, the State House of Representatives voted to override Gov. LePage's veto of a important bill (LD 1252) that would encourage Mainer homeowners and businesses to install solar panels to generate their own clean energy.
>
> The State Senate will vote tomorrow, and your Senator Brian Langley is one of the three or four swing votes who will determine whether or not the bill becomes law.
>
> Please call (207-287-1505) or email (SenBrian.Langley at legislature.maine.gov) Sen. Langley and tell him that you want him to vote to override the Governor's veto. Remind him that the bill will lower the up-front costs for Mainers and help them install over 1,250 new solar PV and hot water projects. Furthermore, tell him that over the lifetime of the program, L.D. 1252 would leverage $25 million of private investment (that’s a 10:1 leveraging of ratepayer money) in a local clean energy source that benefits all of us.
>
> Please contact him today. It could make the difference!
>
> Thanks for all that you do to promote clean energy in Maine,
