> Minutes for Organizational Meeting of August 3, 2016, at 6:30 p.m.
>
> The Howard Room of the Blue Hill Public Library
>
> Ron, Peter, Judy, Steve
>
> As a reflection, Peter read a note that had been delivered to the Field of Flags a few years ago, from a veteran expressing his deep appreciation for projects similar to the field.
>
> The Drones Quilt Project has, since 2013, resulted in approx 8 six-foot-square quilts made up of individual squares, each memorializing Iraqi and Afghan children and other innocents killed by US drone strikes. It travels around the country to be displayed in various venues. In considering whether PPJ could host this exhibit, Judy learned that Reversing Falls Sanctuary would gladly be a place to hold and show the quilts. She will explore options and expenses involved for arranging this and other possibilities during the fall.
>
> PPJ has agreed to co-sponsor the End Violence Together rally and march at West Market Square in Bangor on September 17th.
>
> PPJ also co-sponsors the 2016 Maine Walk for Peace in October, which Bruce Gagnon is an organizer for.
>
> We agreed not to arrange a film for this month. Steve has cancelled our use of the Howard Room on the last Friday of August. We discussed working together on a short series of Cuban films at some point early autumn 2016. We will preview some films.
>
>
> Our next organizational meeting is scheduled for the Bass Room, in the library basement, at 6:30 p.m., on Weds, August 31, 2016 (rescheduled from the 1st Weds in Sept. due to conflicts).

> “The teacher is always with us. The teacher is always showing us precisely where we're at -- encouraging us not to speak and act in the same old neurotic ways, encouraging us also not to repress or dissociate, encouraging us not to sow the seeds of suffering."
