Health Care or Bombs? You Have a Choice" is a small (1/3 page) flyer that will be passed out in many communities in Maine between now and Tax Day (April 15). It will highlight how much of every individual's income tax dollar is going for past, present, and future wars (just under 50%) and what we can do to pay much less for war and more for human needs. A similar campaign, "Bring Our War $$ Home" continues thru April 15 as well. It is urging people to push congress and Maine legislators to support actions to bring tax money back to Maine, since an estimated $320 million went from Maine to pay for US wars elsewhere.
