Please come if you can on Saturday July 9 to the Field of Flags on Main St. in Blue Hill.
At 9:00 a.m. we will begin the summer maintenance of the field, picking up the 6,049 flags, mowing the field, and replacing the flags.

We will also be adding 71 new flags, representing the US deaths since Memorial Day weekend.

It takes approximately 2-1/2 hours for this task if there are at least 18 people helping.
We will have 2 lawnmowers and many hands are needed to pull up the flags and keep ahead of the mowers.
When we are done, the field will be completely replanted with the flags most visible in a crisp, green lawn.

Any amount of work offered is helpful, even if you can only come for 1/2 hour or so.

Bring gloves, sunscreen and water. This is good work to share with friends. Thank you.
