  The Jackson Laboratory is in a delicate political position as it is seeking state (Baldacci) help with improving Internet 2 capability and will undoubtedly benefit from any research and development bond issues which will also require some administration support.

      Has anyone contacted local businesses such as Jackson Lab that may be benefitting from high quality local schools,benefitting either directly or indirectly? Maybe a threat from them to withdraw hiring plans would get the attention of politicians.
