I think it would be nice to have a one page handout for people to look at and to post up around the area. I have seen the talking points on the website but think a 1 page flyer might be a good idea along with the names and contact information for local legislators.

There is a link on the site right next to the Talking Points item (first
item in the "Positions and Critiques" section) that provides a Word
document format for the Talking Points:

    http://mdischools.net/20070403_TalkingPoints.doc

The document consists of two pages, which, printed back-to-back, make a
single sheet handout.

There are only 4 talking points, taking up about 1/3 of a page. The
remainder consists of

1. A link to a state website that provides ALL the contact information
for anyone's legislators (we're hoping this will be used all over the
state, and there's no room contact info for every legislator)

2. Ten brief pieces of background information in support of the four
talking points, since we believe it is a mistake to talk or write to
legislators without providing a bit of information to indicate that
you know what you're talking about.

We've otherwise kept this to a minimum. The only way to effectively
bring it down to a single side of a single sheet would seem to be to
shrink the font to where many of us antiques would need serious
magnification to see it. But any alternative suggestions would be MORE
than welcome.
