Brooksville Selectmen Support Repeal Petition
At their regular meeting on Thursday December 13, a majority of the
Brooksville Selectmen signed a resolution in support of the citizen
initiated petition to repeal the school consolidation law. The matter
was brought before them by Brooksville resident Ralph Chapman who
said, "I believe that it is important for the elected leaders in our
community to go on record with their feelings about the school
consolidation law." Selectmen John Gray and Clifford ("Kip") Leach
signed the resolution authored by the Maine Coalition to Save Schools.
