Well, I have to admit that I fell asleep on my living room floor late
last night listening to the Appropriations Committee while they were
going around their horseshoe divvying up the "sweepings".  The last
bit I heard was Senator Martin adding back some funding for a seed
potato project.

Guess it's fine to mandate schools cutting 5% across the board for
special ed.  But apparently after that there's still enough left over
in the budget for a few pet projects.

Anyway, the Appropriations Committee finished reviewing their draft
consolidation legislation.  At 9:00AM, they are scheduled to vote on
including it in the budget
