the meeting, and not a reporter, and as I was not able to attend the

NEWS FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

The School Union #93 Joint Committee voted unanimously to support the
proposed citizen initiative organized by Skip Greenlaw to Repeal the
School District Consolidation Laws at their meeting held Tuesday
evening November 27, 2007 at the Brooksville Elementary School.  The
matter was added to their agenda following the public comment and
question period during which Brooksville resident Ralph Chapman
inquired how they felt about the Regional School Unit formation
process and encouraged their making a public statement.  Mr. Chapman
said, in part, that the public who had elected the Committee members
would be served by the Committee displaying leadership on this issue.
