Hi to all
We are meeting on Friday, September 28 at UMO. The purpose of the
meeting is to discuss and share thoughts about the consolidation law we
are dealing with now.
We believe it is important for as many of us as possible to get
together to go over the issues facing all of us and to see if we want to
take any action in the upcoming legislative session that starts in
January of 2008.
I am sure that we have all heard about various legislation that will
likely be acted upon. This legislation will likely include changes from
the Dept. of Ed.
There are several paths each of us can follow.
Do nothing.
Work to improve the present legislation.

We will begin the meeting at 8:30 and finish no later than 1:00pm.
Bring you own lunch if you think you will be hungry.
Steve Bowen of the Maine Hertiage Policy Center will be at the meeting.
Skip Greenlaw will also be attending.
*Please make every effort to attend the meeting and please let me know
if you will be attending. I will let you know the room we will be using
just as soon as we confirm where we will be.*
