As several Education Committee members on Friday seemed not at all
clear on the details of either Maine's present structures of unions
and CSD or MDI's proposed regional model, here is a summary you may

•	One governing board overseeing regional school operations in four
MDI towns and three off-shore islands
•	One high school for all seven towns with additional students
tuitioned from outside the region

based on a ratio of enrollment and municipal valuation
•	One K-12 common teachers' contract
