[Local-Maine-Schools] summary, even brief

I'm embarrassed to admit this, but I'm getting lost in all the referendum numbers and discussions about charters and so forth. I only moved to Maine a year ago, and am still trying to figure out how the school system works and what the districts are. Could someone please point me to a location where I can find something that will explain all this to me?
