Good morning everyone,

In the event that you are planning to come to Augusta on Tuesday to talk
with legislators, please call the Clerk's office (287-1400) late this
afternoon or even this evening to see what time the House will convene
tomorrow. We'll meet one hour before the scheduled convening time.

The reason for concern is that the legislature has to enact the budget
today. The House and Senate have different versions of the bill, and
they need to resolve their differences before the bill is prepared for
final enactment. After final enactment, they will adjourn so that the
budget will go into effect 90 days from today (July 1). The governor
will call them into special session tomorrow to finish their business.
If they are still in session late tonight, they might not convene until
later tomorrow morning. I'm not anxious to sit around the halls of the
legislature without any legislators. If you have any questions, please
e-mail me.

Have a great day!!!!!!
