the requirement for a budget referendum for certain municipalities that have
charters, such as Augusta and Portland. I don't know who voted as I was
out of the room at the time. I spoke to Rep. Edgecomb later and he
definitely voted against it.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>He pointed out that a city like Caribou would have
to have a referendum even though they have a charter if they become part of an
RSU with other municipalities.</FONT></DIV>

out for another week or two, but don't count on it. Please contact your
legislators even if you favor only repeal. If 1932 passes repeal will be
