shall be making a presentation to the Education Committee about what needs to be
fixed with the school consoldiation law. We have seven recommendations to
make which are included in the attached statement. Roger Shaw,
superintendent from SAD42, Mars Hill and Quentin Clark, a super-</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>intendent from western Maine will also be
testifying with us.</FONT></DIV>

appreciation to Judy Sproule of Trenton, Brian Hubbell of Bar Harbor, and
Professor Gordon Donaldson of Lamoine who have labored with me during this past
week to develop, write, modify, edit our recommendations.</FONT></DIV>

organizations to develop a list of recommendations which we all can support and
work with the legislature to get them enacted. Please continue to
