Assault on Jeju, Island of Peace.
Regis Tremblay, an independent filmmaker from Woolwich, Maine, has just returned from Jeju Island, South Korea, where he spent three weeks filming a documentary. He will show a short flm on the history and significance of the 5-year-old protest by the villagers of Gangjeong Village, where a huge US naval base is being constructed. Jeju Island is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in part due to its unique geological structures.
The program is sponsored by Peninsula Peace & Justice and Island Peace & Justice. Everyone is welcome.
