School of the Americas Watch is hiring a Development & Operations Coordinator to be based in Washington, DC, for a minimum of 2 years. The position is full-time with health benefits, paid vacation and holiday time, and there are opportunities for skills development. Salary: $35,000 per year.

Mission Statement
School of the Americas Watch is a nonviolent grassroots movement that works to stand in solidarity with the people of Latin America, to close the SOA/WHINSEC and to change oppressive U.S. foreign policy that the SOA represents. We are grateful to our sisters and brothers throughout Latin America for their inspiration and the invitation to join them in their struggle for economic and social justice. Job Description
– Research and apply for grants and other sources of funding
– Develop and distribute donor mailing appeals, online fundraising appeals, and other fundraising materials to supporters
– Supervise and coordinate bookkeeping tasks including managing bank accounts, payroll, benefits, and payment of other bills
– Organize and handle logistics for local fundraising events
