Subject: Dirty Energy Road Show EVENT April 18th]

Hi friends,
A friend of mine is doing a presentation in Biddeford on April 18th that
examines the parallels of coal and nuclear issues, and connects them to
other forms of dirty energy and climate change, at UNE. He is also
possibly looking to book more shows in Maine on April 17th, and/or the
19th-22nd of April. Eric is great!, and a very dedicated activist. He is a
great person to make a connection with and become friends with. If you
like to help him book more shows in Maine, please let me know and I will
connect you with him.

Here is a description of the presentation:

The dirty energy road show examines the parallels of coal and nuclear
issues, and connects them to other forms of dirty energy and climate
change. It looks at the mining of materials, how the power plants work,
waste issues, and impacts on the health of humans and ecosystems. It also
shows examples of front line communities fighting back against waste dumps
and other polluting facilities, as well as Mountain Justice folks fighting
mountaintop removal. This presentation is by Eric Blevins, a graduate of
Middle Tennessee State University and a founding member of the Tennessee
Alumni and Students for Sustainable Campuses. It is a great way to get
folks educated on important issues and inspire them to get involved and
take action.
