Please join us for a screening of The Healthcare Movie, a one-hour documentary that tells the story, through the words of ordinary Canadians, of the success of their national, tax-funded health care system.  This event is most timely, as the Maine legislature will be considering a bill this session that would bring high-quality, affordable health care to every Maine resident through a publicly funded system.
Following the film, Dr. Phil Caper and Joe Lendvai of Maine AllCare will facilitate a conversation with the audience about what lessons we can learn from Canada and what individuals can do to be involved in the process of creating change.  Please come and share your ideas and your concerns.
This event will be at the Blue Hill Public Library on Friday, January 17, at 7 pm.  It is sponsored by Alliance for Democracy Downeast, Peninsula Peace and Justice, and Maine AllCare.  There will be refreshments.  For more information, call Bonnie Preston, 374-3636 or Joe Lendvai, 359-8306.
