Press release, for immediate releaseMiddle East Children’s Alliance Founder Presents on Clean Drinking Water Project for UN School BLUE HILL–The founder and executive director of the Middle East Children’s Alliance (MECA), Barbara Lubin, will describe the impact of Israel’s occupation and siege on children in Gaza. She will also talk about MECA’s Maia Project, which provides clean drinking water to Palestinian children. Lubin’s presentation will be at 7 p.m, on Nov. 9, at the Blue Hill Public Library.
Lubin hasled nearly twenty delegations to Palestine/Israel, Iraq, and Lebanon and has visited the Gaza Strip twice, including a trip to Gaza this year. She is coming to Blue Hill as part of a New England speaking tour, sharing her experiences and photos from her latest trip. Funds raised on this tour will go towards building a water treatment unit for children at a UN school in Gaza, the Rehabilitation Centre for the Visually Impaired.
