Dear Friends:

I just had a phone call from Maureen Kehoe-Ostensen (Smiling Tree Disarmament Farm) who said they are organizing a protest this Saturday, Sept 1 from 1:00-3:00 pm in Camden.

The USS Normandy (Aegis cruiser that holds the record for firing the most cruise missiles in battle) will pay a visit to the Windjammer Festival this weekend.

People will meet at the Camden Library at 12:45 pm.

The Navy is going to entice people to come out to the warship for a tour.  The protest will be held at the spot where people board a ferry to go out to the warship.

You can reach Maureen or George at 207-763-4062 for details.

I am planning to go if anyone from midcoast wants to ride up with me.
