All hands are needed to help with a mowing and maintenance at the
IRAQ WAR DEAD MEMORIAL field in Blue Hill.
On Saturday, August 1 (rain date Sunday, August 2), there will be a
complete mowing and renewal of the field.
There are 5,000+ flags to be pulled up, the field will be mowed, and
the flags set back into place.

The process will begin at 10:00 a.m. and generally takes somewhat
over 2 hours. If you can come to help even for a short time, please do.
When there are 18 - 20 people, the task goes very well and is easier
for everyone. Please share this message with friends.
We think we have enough lawnmowers, but if you have a small one that
is easy to transport, please email to judy at robbinsandrobbins.com

If it is too rainy on Saturday, we will plan on Sunday at 1:00. If
the weather is questionable, call 326-4405.
Thank you!

===========================

note: When the field was set up this year on Memorial Day weekend,
flags and flowers were planted to represent 4,986 US soldiers killed
in Iraq and Afghanistan, and 1.2 million Iraqi casualties.

As of today, there have been 5,081 US soldiers killed in Iraq and
Afghanistan.
