Dear Friends of Everybody Eats!


Announcements:

-- Next Everybody Eats! Planning Meeting:  Tuesday, August 11th, 4 p.m., St. Dunstan's Church, 134 State St., Ellsworth.  Come be part of this exciting project.  Share your ideas and goals for the free community meal, or just come to listen.  We would love to have your input.

-- Ellsworth Rotary Club Contribution:   Ellsworth Rotary Club President, Lincoln Ehrlenbach, called to announce that the Rotary has awarded  $200 to Everybody Eats! for start-up costs.  Marian and Dave Wells, and perhaps others, will attend the Rotary dinner and meeting at China Hill on Tuesday, July 28th to accept the check.  If anyone else would like to be there, please send an email to Marian or Dave.  Rotary members would also like to get involved with volunteering. THANK YOU ROTARY.  

-- Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry  has donated $250 to Everybody Eats! to be spent between now and September.  This is a credit-toward-food-purchases donation, which, of course, is as good as cash.  Also, the Loaves & Fishes Board has invited Everybody Eats! to make a presentation at their next meeting, September 14th.  Gracias, Loaves & Fishes!

-- Volunteer Opportunity: Would you like to occasionally join a fun-loving group of people to share cooking, serving, hosting, etc?  Everybody Eats! serves a delicious healthy free meal each Monday between 3 pm and 7 pm.  Preparations begin at 10 or 11 a.m.  Please get in touch with Marian Wells, Volunteer Coordinator, to sign up for a morning or afternoon shift: sagegirlmsw at aol.com, 667-6206

-- Ellsworth American story:  Excellent story and photo in this week's Ellsworth American, page 2.  The photo showcases some of our sous chefs at work in the kitchen assisting Julia Ventresco, chef extraordinaire!
