reminder:

On Saturday, Nov. 14, beginning at 11:00 a.m. there will be a
memorial event at the War Dead Memorial Field of Flags on Main Street.
The 5000+ white flags will be removed for the winter, and at the same
time there will be a Reading of the Names.
The names of over 900 US service personnel killed in Afghanistan will
be read aloud, and a similar number of Afghani civilian casualties
will be remembered.

This is the fifth year that Peninsula Peace & Justice has maintained
the Field of Flags Memorial. Everyone is invited to participate.
Dress warm and bring gloves.

If anyone is inspired to bring a spring bulb to plant, the ground is
still soft and warm and there is room for planting.
