Peter Robbins called from the border crossing at Reynosa, Mexico.
The Pastors for Peace caravanistas, headed to Cuba, are stuck at
Mexican Immigration. They are being asked to pay an unprecedented
amount of money for transit visas. Peter thinks they are asking for
about $2000. The 80 or so people on the caravan have been waiting at
immigration in the 100-degree heat since 10 this morning.
The Pastors for Peace caravan did get through the US Customs, though
five Pentium 4 computers donated by Canadians in Vancouver were
seized. --message thanks to Meredith DeFrancesco
