[HCCN] Restorative Justice Meeting in Ellsworth May 18

The Restorative Justice Project is expanding to Hancock and  
Washington Counties.  The mission of the Restorative Justice Project  
is to bring about a cultural shift in the way that the community, law  
enforcement, and the justice system work together to address crime  
and punishment.  The public is invited to attend an informational  
meeting Tuesday, May 18, at 6:30 pm at the Ellsworth Public Library  
(enter from rear parking lot to lower level).  A documentary,  
“Burning Bridges” will be shown that illustrates how the restorative  
justice process has worked in one situation to help move a community  
through grief and anger to healing.  There will also be information  
about the upcoming volunteer mentoring training in Ellsworth,  
beginning June 1, 2010.  For more information, see
