Hi All -- Happy September!
The monthly calendar will soon be updated on our website at
www.downeasthealth.org. The format has been slightly changed -- you'll
find education and support opportunities offered through Downeast Health
on the first page. Other training opportunities are listed by date,
followed by recurring weekly, bi-weekly, monthly playgroups, support &
online educational resources.
See some listings below to get you started & as always, please do not
hesitate to ask questions or seek additional information.

*Incredible Years -- Babies: Free Weekly Group begins September 21^st *
9.21.10 *_Ellsworth_* 9:30am-11:30am: Hancock County Children's Council
presents a FREE 6 week series "The Incredible Years -- Babies" for
babies and their parents/caregivers at Downeast Health Services, 52
Christian Ridge Road, Ellsworth. Call Candy at 667-5304 ext. 261 FMI.
Minimum 5 - maximum 10 families. Pre-registration and some reading
required. The Incredible Years programs will show some of the ways that
babies communicate and how parents can nurture, teach and respond to
their babies in sensitive ways that bring about their optimal social,
emotional, physical and intellectual development.

*Mommy and ME, Sullivan: Free Weekly Group begins September 28^th *

Hancock County Children's Council presents "Mommy and ME" weekly group
for Moms and their babies (newborn to one year) at the Sullivan Town
Office, US Route 1, Sullivan. Facilitated by Jennifer Broughton, RN,
Downeast Health Services Maternal & Child Health program, come meet
other mothers (first-time or experienced) and their babies for 6 weeks
of weekly fun and tips to develop healthy strong bonds between you and
