[Local-Maine-Schools] enrollment projections

I can be slow to pick up on the details...

I looked again at the Maine K-12 enrollment projections made by the
State Planning Office in 2003.  These projections go until 2017, and
while I have some concerns about their methodology, I am not aware of
any other (competing) projections.

The enrollment increases expected in the years from 2015 to 2017
increase at an annual rate greater than at any time since the 1960s.

Although I am suspicous of the accuracy of underlying assumptions in
such long term projections (eight to ten years), this might serve as a
talking point in introducing the need to look at data rather than to
repeat myths.
