film: The Human Element, Blue Hill May 31

BLUE HILL — On Friday, May 31, 7 p.m., at Blue Hill Library, Peninsula Peace & Justice will screen a 2018 documentary, “The Human Element,” from the producers of “Chasing Ice,” “The Cove,” and “Racing Extinction.”

Award-winning photographer James Balog focuses his investigatory lens on the complex relationship between humans and nature, showing shifts within the elemental forces that shape our world — Water, Air, Fire, and Earth.

He also highlights subjects who are often overlooked victims of climate change. Outside Magazine says, “This film could make Coal Execs care about the planet.”

Discussion will follow the film, to include an update on the Climate Convergence Conference coming to Blue Hill in July.

The film is open to the public and free, refreshments included. For info call 326-4405.
