Fwd: Maine Peace Walk Update

From: “Global Network” <globalnet@mindspring.com>

Version 2
Dear friends,
Just a few items to report about upcoming Peace Walk in Bath-Brunswick area.
  • First a weather report – expect general global warming conditions with temperature highs in the mid-60’s Fahrenheit and lows in the 40’s.  Bring rain gear as we will likely see some rain during the week.
  • The October 12 ‘Village versus Empire’ film showing at the Frontier Cinema in Brunswick is now more than half sold out so if you have not got your tickets yet the theater strongly recommends you should.  Get them online at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/3084327
  • Those needing home hospitality need to let me know the dates you will be around.  Those who would like to offer home hospitality in the Bath-Brunswick area should let me know ASAP.  Call me at 443-9502.
  • Maine artist Russell Wray has completed painting the large banner (above) that will be hung on the side of our rented 15-passenger van that will also have a dolphin (Maka) mounted on top.  So we will be very visible.
  • You can see all the various walk schedules and flyers now located on the Maine VFP web site at http://vfpmaine.org/2017%20Walk.html   Thanks to Dan Ellis for the web site work.
  • I’ve been asked if we are charging anything for those who participate in the walk.  The answer is no although we will pass the hat for free will donations to help cover our food costs.  We also have our walk sweatshirts and T-shirts and they will cost $15 each.
Looking forward to seeing you all soon.  Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks for being with us.
