Minutes for Organizational Meeting

May 3, 2017, at 6.30 pm

Blue Hill Public Library

Ron, Bonnie, Peter, Steve, Judy

Group discussed how to celebrate Chelsea Manning’s 05/17 release from prison. We plan for a lunch picnic party outdoors in Blue Hill Park, noon to one p.m. on Wednesday 05/17/17. Plans are loosely arranged for cake, décor. We hope to send Chelsea some photos, notes, and greetings.

We decided to program a film on the last Saturday in May, as more of us are likely available to run the show, which will be Maya Angelou: And Still I Rise, a 2016 biopic. Steve will arrange getting a disc or stream-able content for screening that evening. Peter and Judy will work out publicity plans.

Our next organizational meeting is scheduled for Howard Room, in the Blue Hill library, at 6:30 p.m., on the first Wednesday of next month, June 7, 2017
