The Ongoing Palestinian Nakba
Report on Gaza and the West Bank

BLUE HILL — On Friday, June 21, 7 p.m. at Blue Hill Library, Bob and Maurine Tobin of Deer Isle will give a talk about Occupied Palestine. They recently traveled to Gaza and the West Bank, including a visit to Khan Al Ahmar, a Bedouin village under threat of demolition.

Since 2005, the Tobins have served as volunteers for Sabeel Jerusalem, a Palestinian Christian Liberation Theology center and are supporters of Al Ahli Anglican Hospital, Gaza City.  They have led 25 witness trips to show participants the reality of Palestinian life under occupation, their most recent trip in March 2019.  They are co-editors of How Long, O Lord? Christian, Jewish, and Muslim Voices from the Ground and Visions for the Future in Israel/Palestine (2003).

The evening is hosted by Peninsula Peace & Justice. All are welcome. Refreshments will be served. For more information: 326-4405.
